Luminous
vs. Fishbowl

Fishbowl was designed for large manufacturing companies in 2001. Luminous was designed for the modern e-commerce companies of today. Why live in the past when the future is already here?

TRUSTED BY hundreds of LEADING BRANDS

Future-proof or stuck in the past?

Fishbowl is an “on-premises” solution that requires you to host the software on a physical server. While this was normal in 2001, it’s outdated today. Fishbowl recently released a basic version for the cloud, but Luminous is cloud-native. Plus, it has pre-built integrations with everything you use (also via cloud computing).

Complicated vs streamlined

Fishbowl might work for a large manufacturing company with complicated processes, but most e-commerce companies don’t fit that description. Luminous is designed for the e-commerce journey from garage to growth and easily scales up or down based on your needs. It’s clunky and complicated versus streamlined and intuitive…a tough choice.

Integrate Quickbooks/ Xero or replace it with something worse?

Fishbowl requires you to purchase its financial suite, but the problem is most e-commerce companies would rather keep using Quickbooks or Xero. While Fishbowl has an accounting integration, it’s buggy. Meanwhile, Luminous has out-of-the-box integrations with Quickbooks and Xero that automatically syncs invoices so you’re always up-to-date with accounting.

Expensive implementation or fast on-site support?

Of all the people we talked to who purchased Fishbowl, very few successfully implemented it. Instead, they spent tens of thousands on implementation fees that didn’t even get them where they needed to be. With Luminous, you get an onsite implementation from a team that doesn’t quit until your system is working correctly.
